Is it possible that in their reductionist thinking they omitted overlooked other aspects? Is their word a be all and end all? Are their ideas absolute?

Everyone has a kink or a fetish.. some as common as only wanting to fuck in the dark and some as uncommon as the one that started this thread.
The need to evaluate comes from the need to understand.
And your or me needing to understand makes that our problem not the person who is participating's problem. He probably already knows where his need for his choice of kink/fetish comes from.
And once we understand a certain kink/fetish does that make it less dark and more socially acceptable? Less psychological as some would like to label it?
A currently socially accepted kink/fetish can originate from an even darker places as this kink/fetish is perceived to originate from by some. Foot/shoe fetishes for example often originate from boys being abused/molested and the only beauty they saw at that moment was the feet/shoes of the person abusing them. Think on that one a bit ...how socially acceptable is foot fetishes without people knowing where it comes from.
As for not being a decent human being.... I have met many sexually differently wired people in my time as a escort and most have been the most decent people despite that one fetish/kink that makes them different than me. Even though I might not have understood or was not able to help them with their request it did not make me automatically label them as lesser human beings.

Ok. Perhaps I inadvertently made the assumption that people are more familiar with how philosophy works than is actually the case. Yes there are different schools of thought. But all of them articulate actual REASONS for something being morally wrong. And no, their word is not absolute- THAT'S WHY I FUCKEN ASKED IF ANYONE CAN ARTICULATE *WHY* THEY THINK THIS IS WRONG. You know, actual reasons or a rational argument that might persuade someone rather than "It just feels icky to me"
