I have not met Mercedes, Lucky Jumper or Ystervark. I am not familiar with the circumstances.

John Adams, just so you know the Legality of Photography, it is not the same as another product, you can buy a photo a look at it, put it in a frame etc, but the minute you send it to another person you are distributing, and this needs another set of payment and paperwork, involving the right to reproduce and distribute.
Just some free legal information on photography, oh yes, and if you send porn pictures or videos on your phone you are now a pornography distributer, and that is another legal ballgame entirely

So whoever thinks they can distribute photos they bought, did you also get the model-release signature allowing distribution? No?
Clear infringement of the law.

I see that several people here erroneously believe that they can do what they like with a photo legally, if they have paid for it.
Sorry, unless you have the paperwork for intent to reproduce and distribute with the signatures of both model and photographer they are full within their rights if they decide to sue you. So, it's not being "kind" or respectful" to refrain from passing on photos, it is to protect yourself from a legal case.

That is the risk that you have to accept when coming on to this site. Your privacy is not guaranteed. By the very nature of advertising yourself you are open to being recognised one way or the other.


This will forever be a conundrum.

And a sobering thought. Soft lockdown is upon us once more. The virus is more aggressive. At some time even us will start recognising the dangers we put ourselves in by continuing to punt away.

Ystervark won't be there again to help those in need.

I'm sorry, but his whole behavior shows that he was actually not being nice at all. He was doing "favors" out of his own interest. To feel appreciated, and "loved" and to win trust, with the expectation to get lucky or get special privileges in the future, or be able act like an arse when you don't get what you wanted.

Met him in person at the social,thanked him for been such a blessing to so many over lockdown,I was not one of them, had plenty of others to support though. he came across as humble and a genuine person. Can't believe how I misread this guy. Wolf in sheeps clothing, I see.. disappointed as hell

I will reserve my judgement on the man. All I can say is.he was good to me. I totally get the issue of what went down and am in no way underplaying it. When doing pics or vids there is absolutely no guarantees and one assumes and expects the other party will be honorable. I am one of those who doesnt share pics for exactly this reason. I have had a client betray me by telling everybody at his work who and what I was. What they all never knew is that the whole management team were clients. So I know what its like when a client doesnt respect the unspoken confidentiality clause.

Don't know the full story but this deserves two thumbs up. The studies are out there, majority of 'nice' people don't do anything without expectation. It may be boosting our ego or expecting a little thank you that gets them going, or the expectation of better service, maybe help ease a future interaction or sometimes they want something more than that. God help you if you do not reciprocate in a manner that is consistent with that expectation.

The best advice I have been given when it comes to charity is 'give without expectation and in a way that your left hand doesn't know what your right hand is doing.' When you do that you have truly mastered your ego!
