Walking all the way to Parktown to get an Uber is just ridiculous. There are no options - you'll just have to stick to punts off ESA. Much safer.

Punts off ESA are okay. But I like to sit in crowded places, have a drink, and play the field at will. Venues and such are not ideal.

So there are no other places? What a sad little town JNB is.

I enjoy the summit club - have not been there for a while as it is becoming more hectic to get there. There must be other clubs in jhb or pta offering similar kind of entertainment

That's what I like about HOE... You can still go with a couple of mates for a drink, engage to see who you click with.

I definitely think Joburg is lacking this.

I think HOE has ROAR?

Revu in Bryanston has a bar and the girls are chilled. No harassment. But venues have too few people generally. I want a club vibe.

gostwrita I am with you on this one.

It is a real pity that these clubs seem to thin out or then are located in areas one would not like to drive to, especially night times.

It is a sad reality of the times we live in.

Sssshhhh....

Let's just face reality, gents - you won't find a place. No matter how far you look. We have The Grand and Teazerz, but they don't have that unique 'flavour' that the two joints in the CBD have. Places that closely resemble them are probably in the East Rand, but they have no vibe to them at all - which is why most are empty even on Friday nights.

Places like HOE, Revu, SP, The Harem ( there's a place in morningside - name escapes me) are gentleman's clubs, not strip clubs.

That's fucking depressing in a city of x million people. Honestly, once I no longer have business interests in SA I don't think I will ever return. So boring. Having fun just comes with unacceptable risks.
