This lockdown of 21 days is not enough to flatten the curve. It has to be longer to be effective. The testing in SA is insufficient, so we have seriously wrong numbers at present. Wait till they all arrive at the hospitals.

Start accepting the fact that the lockdown will most probably be another 28 days. That would bring the curve down.

Rather be prepared for that than thinking it will end in 21 days. The infection rate after the 21 days will simply spike, and another lockdown much harsher than this one, will have to be implemented.

Lets not fool ourselves. We can either stop it now, or it will infect you. That is simply a fact.

Futher continuous lockdown measures is definitely the safest route in order to flatten the curve. To have a break inbetween will just worsen things. I will rather take the big "hit" now than taken it later when things can spin out of control ;)

I think I'm prepared whatever may come, be it actually contracting the disease myself or 3 months lockdown or even full blown civil war and anarchy. Truth is I'm always ready, even if we didn't have warning before lockdown started, I always planned for the worst.

There may still be time to salvage the situation if a full lockdown is brought into effect now, rather than waiting for the 21 period to pass. 21 days to be extended to 28 days, provided that a full lockdown comes into effect within a day or two.

I have been to my local Spar and other stores and by my account, it is business as usual. Shops are still busy as any other time of the year.

On a side note, We have a government that is absolutely useless is stopping corruption, murders, hijackings syndicates, rhino poaching and the list goes on.
Let's hope they can get this covid 19 under control
