Before those nameless faceless corporations humans lived till 40, dying in their millions from diseases which have since been cured, living from hand to mouth in a very violent existence, it's all very romantic but nothing but nonsense, just 200 years ago we were closer to wild animals than the civilizations we have become, back then 80% of the worlds population lived below the poverty line, today only 10% do. Be careful what you wish for, one day Atlas will shrug and you will all be dying on the side of the road wishing for 5 minutes in a comfy office and a couple of pieces paper to buy an apple, with, 10 billion people on the earth no one can afford the luxury of what this advocates, do you know how many people would have to die to make the hunter gatherer lifestyle doable again? ? About 9 billion and the survivors would still be starving...

There is a good message in the video but it doesnt help making your point with a lot of generalisations and a few conspiracy theories thrown in. But still a lot of food for thought.

And that is exactly the point. What you have just indirectly proven is that humanity is a stain on the planet. There is a statistic out there that says in order for us to sustain humanity on equal footing we would have to have FIVE uninhabited 'earths'. FIVE not one more or two more FIVE more. Yes I would love to live to the ripe old age of 80 but the reality is back then 40 was 80, eventually the earth will find a new way to rid itself of the majority of humans.

Secondly 'Civilization' has always been the elitist man's excuse for taking humanity further yet despite all the inroads made, it has been developed on the backs of the poor regardless of race, creed or religion and to the detriment of the environment. Worse all of the 'look what civilization has brought the savages' campaigners forget that even they are a cog in the wheel of destruction. It is only a matter of time before nature/universe wipes out the 9 billion you speak of. Which in essence is almost all of humanity.

Watched this video again tonight. But through different eyes with our current situation.

Thought it was worth sharing again.
