That's rather regrettable, for I'm sure at least some of the grievances brought forward will be deemed unconstitutional - which I'd regard to be more than just 'urgent'.
Time to reign in CR - or more specific NDZ, she seems to (over?)rule his roost.

When one sees the number of cars on the roads and the social and economic activity that's taking place, legally or illegally, the different levels touted by government are hardly being adhered to. Unfortunately the further damage to our economy is done and will escalate.

Sorry to burst your bubble people. I am a senior political journalist. It is not a given that Gauteng as a whole will move to level 3. At this stage, it is envisaged that Johannesburg, Cape Town, eThekwini, NMB and Ekurhuleni will stay at level 4. How that will be managed I don't know. The Premier cannot decide, all he can do is recommend to the NCC, the same as Premier Winde in the WC has done. It seems by both Premiers making their wishes public, they are trying to bully the NCC and Cabinet too obliging. Word that I'm hearing is that they're hearing none of it, especially with today's predictions that there will be a million cases and 40000 will die by November in SA.

Nice try. If you'd read my post correctly, all I said was that, at the time, the Premier cannot make that decision. Remember, the decision rests with the NCC, and Cabinet alone.

I am extremely happy that Gauteng is moving to Level 3, but don't forget that this is a political game being outplayed. It is still extremely likely that within two weeks of Level 3, a return to Level 4 or even 5 is extremely likely in the hotspots of the Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni metros, and specifically regions including Soshanguve in the north, as well as Region E of Johannesburg (includes Orange Grove, Houghton and Yeoville, among others.

Adonis, just carry on with giving us info when you can. Some of us do realize that you can only report on what is happening at the time, not predict what will happen. And we know that politicians change their mind from one minute to the next.

I just find the whole scenario of no people over 60 allowed to go back to work but the parlement is opening on level 3 and heaven knows the majority of them are over 60 a bit of a circus.

Should this not be a good time for some of them to step down and let some people in there that are young and fit and ready to work change for the beter in this country.
