As you all know, things took quite a substantial direction change here at ESA. From today this forum will be moderated. The front page text was updated to reflect this change.

What does this mean to the forum poster?

Nothing really. Your posts will still show immediately, we just now reserve the right to ask anyone to edit their post, and if they fail to do so, they will be blocked.

We'll only step in when it's clear that someone is trying to disrupt the forum: childish mudslinging being a prime example.

We hope that this move will once again make the forum the pleasant and informative resource it once was.

Already on the todo list. We'll draw up a list of rules for people to refer to, but in a nutshell it comes down to this: behave like a gentleman and everything will be fine.

So... why did I get no ‘fair’ warning?
All my balls wanted was to be free, instead I find myself being persecuted. Alas.

I have to say that I also find it quite disheartening that the greatest culprit (herbalChicken) is seemingly being given a free pass once again. Oh well, I guess the illusion of a fair and gentlemanly forum is better than what it currently is.

It is unfortunate that it has taken the spectre of serious competition on the horizon for you guys to finally take this decision.
