I sitting at a coffee shop in Cape Town and thinking about nothing to do so these questions come up

The question I have is, has technology influenced how people approach and experience sex in a relationship?

The accessibility to explicit pornographic content, can it have a negatively impact on intimate relationships? Does it not prevent people to pursue meaningful relationships with other people?

Social media, Tinder etc, what impact does that have on relationships? Has technology shaped how people approach sex in a relationship, what challenges do people face or does it provide opportunities?

Is sex more freely available now than say in the 1960/70 (hippie) The sexual revolution during that time did challenge traditional norms, promoting sexual freedom and openness.

With all of the above , why is prostitution still frowned upon or not?

I don't think it has much to do with technology.
Look at pre-WWII Germany, we are quite conservative by comparison.
Technology is just a means.

While I don't agree with EVERYTHING she says (bc i do believe her perception on things is highly influenced by the environment she works in & how she presents).. it DID make me reconsider how pornography/sex work plays into rape culture. its a topic I'll have to address in a blog post soon

Does the "sex trade" lead to the commodification of women as objects of consumption; thereby obscuring the chances of gender equality...
