Definition of prostitution

Hi all, especially Sally,
I've been trying to find a legal definition of exactly what is considered to be "prostitution" in South Africa. I'm just trying to understand what is technically legal or illegal.
OK, we know the broad understanding is that it is "paying or accepting payment for receiving sexual favours". This leaves huge areas of interpretation.
Clearly, paying a woman R200 so that you can have vaginal intercourse with her would be considered prostitution. What about paying her to masturbate you? What about paying her to fondle you while you masturbate? What about paying someone to have sex with someone else? If you pay someone to masturbate you, but you don't ejaculate? Or paying someone to masturbate themselves? Pardon the pun, but what will stand up in court?
Hard core pornography is legal here. Some magazines show penetration. Surely these models have been paid to have sex?
Any legal minded people out there?

What if you make a living from the proceeds of prostitution. For example the shareholders of newspapers who eventually receive a portion of prostitutes (who advertise in their classifieds) earnings. Or for that matter anyone who benefits from the earnings of a prostitute ;)
