What more can I say about the best venue in the country?!

Oh wait, rooms with jacuzzi's are now available at the standard rate. Another win for the customers!

I have to say, the ladies at HOE are always super courteous and professional. You always feel appreciated once she closes the door behind you.

I'd also like to mention the hostesses and receptionist who always make a point to remember your name. You truly feel like a king from the start.

There are a lot of newbies who are very satisfying to the eye.

Had the please of trying the burger from the new menu and it was Yummy! Everything was so fresh and wholesome. The girls really did a good job of cutting the potato chips and making the coleslaw. :-D

This was my first visit to HoE. I have always known about it, even before knowing it’s name, but have never mustered up the courage to go.

I arrived 20 mins early for my appointment planning to have a wind down before the time. The venue is clean, well organised has the nicest views over Pta.

The hostess was friendly meeting me at the car. She insisted on a tour of the venue, even though I would have rather just had a seat in a corner enjoying a cold beverage and a smoke beforehand. Being a private person I was a bit awkward being taken through the whole venue past everyone. She did a great job showing the various areas (most was in use so only saw them from the outside).

Overall, the venue is very nice and lives up to it’s reputation. I will probably visit again, but only after figuring out how to overcome MY privacy issues.

Few weeks back, arrived at ORT at 4:00am on a Saturday morning, and had another flight out at 19:30. So, that's how I killed the time and would recommend anyone in this situation to do so...

Straight onto the car rental, directly onto Lancet in Brakpan for Covid test for the flight that evening (they open 24 h 7/7).

Onto a breakfast and coffee. By 8:30, I was in Fourways for a long overdue booking with Kenya.

As usual, she didn't disappoint and provided some "ball sack emptying" of note experience.

From there, on the way to Pretoria, to make the opening of HOE. At that time, it was level III so I found the bar open, and the host took me thru the screening process, but I knew what I want and ask for the African ladies on duty to join me at the table. Fast forward a couple of hours sitting outside in the warm winter sun, and a good couple of cold ones, I couldn't decide on which of the 2 stunning African angels to take me to stairway to heaven, so I went with them both. One of them doesn't advertise at the moment, and the second one was Starr.

At first I probably wouldn't have booked Star, as she is shorter than the lady I would book, but she pitched it so nicely, I had to have her join.

The walk on the "stairway to heaven" was delightful and I could not get there fast enough. The jacuzzi was clean, hot as usual, the place stacked with snacks, food and booze as pre-ordered. As we walked in, my COVID test results came in and I had nothing to worry anymore and spent some very special 3 hours getting spoiled by those 2 ladies, just to get out of there, straight back to ORT onto the flight with very little time to spare.

So if you stuck on a long transit in JHB, follow this, it was well worth it. Was suppose to do it again this past Saturday but my booking got messed up and has to leave to early to be able to make it again. Can't wait for the next one.
