A wise successful businessman taught me: The day you start a new job, start a new business, the most important question,
What is my next step when this is done? What is the exit plan?
I have met three WG's who I really admire.
Two are studying towards business qualifications and exploring business opportunities they can transition to when the time is right. Both have plans and goals to be self-employed within the next 12 months, in a field other than the current one.
The third WG has also completed a diploma and is soon joining a partnership in an established Life Coaching company.
WG's, rugby players, soccer players and others, have a shortened working life. The time comes when physical attributes change, and age becomes a barrier to earning. Sadly it happens faster than we know.
So ladies, what is your exit plan?
I dont expect you to divulge your plans here, but please attend to it ASAP

Doing my best to live this moment, as it's all I have, but can't help looking ahead to hopefully next year so I can start a new life in a first world country....learning to dream again......instead of being bogged down with the stress of surviving...

@ilovemywoozle. Few improve their careers after a stint in this industry. You are however right that those who do, had an exit plan AND worked actively at making it happen.

It often started with kicking a leach of a boyfriend into touch and sorting out their financial affairs.

Besides this we all need a little luck!
