I had a prebooked and deposited all night for tonight at a very lovely hotel with a gentleman I have seen once before.
As usual a few hours before the set time of appointment for an all night, I send a discreet text simply saying.
"This is a reminder of your meeting set for 19h00 tonight. Please confirm with a YES if all is still on track for the meeting or reply with a NO if anything is had changed on your side and I will await further communication before leaving for the meeting"
I do inform clients before hand that I will send this text 3 hours before set time and will expect an answer within a hour of me sending it.
If I do not get a response I will not leave my space until he contacts me. And should they not contact me atleast within a half hour after set time they will forfeit the deposit. Same goes if they don't show at my place atleast within half hour of the set time if all night is at my space.
I did not get a response from my all night client. Which I found super weird as he is genuinely nice guy and he paid a deposit. So I just wait it out. I did get ready just for incase he missed the text and calls to find out why I ain't there at 19h00 as we agreed.
19h00 comes and goes no call , no text , no whatsup.
At 21h00 I get a simple text " I am sorry, can't make it , will explain at some point. I do understand that I have forfeited my deposit, and that is okay. Ones again sorry I stood you up but have some personal issues at the moment , that prevented me from keeping our appointment. Call you as soon as I can."
My imagination is running wild wondering why a guy would miss out on an all night planned for weeks and loose a deposit paid.
I do hope it ain't very serious and that he is ok.
Being stood up usually makes us ladies mad. As we blocked out time and got ready but I ain't mad , a bit sad as I was looking forward to the meet up. But far from mad. My asking a deposit does help to lessen the sting of being "stood up" ;)
