Hi everyone,

Today is my first day flying solo and I missed a number of calls and messages. The problem is I know not everyone uses a punting phone and I don't want to create awkward situations. So what is the protocol? Call/message back in office hours? Please let me have your advice/suggestions

I normally send a text if the call was withing an hour and try to be as plain as possible. You can also set up a voicemail and ask that they let you know if you can call or message back. Also saw a profile where the lady writes on her bio that if she misses a call she will call back and if the punter does not want to be called he should let her know

Tricky one...I did not realise how many chaps/chops(wink wink) don't use a punter fone...One can blame stupidity(mostly) and possibly naivety(for some of the young bucks)...

But from the forum threads, there does seem to be a few(quite an alarming number infact) of special snowflakes who prefer to use their personal numbers...

Having said that...You are now flying solo akin to a startup company... So you are gona have to take no small measures...Your profit and loss will be directly affected by how you market yourself anddeal with your clients( especially in this current economic climate).

If you get a call and can not answer it..return it with a missed call(within YOUR office hours)...If he's a serious punter he'll call again.

If it's a message - avoid sms(unless as a last resort) as thats difficult to respond to sometimes and you may get a hard time with our useless sms servers in this country(ie a message could arrive hours or days later). Watsapp atleast tells you whether the server received it, etc

So please do reply to messages, ideally try use whatsapp and put the dissapearing messages feature on..that way..no shocking wifes/ fiancees/ gfs/ tannies/ oumas will be able to read your steamy correspondence(after a certain time - 24hrs seems the quickest) and you will avoid some nasty headaches and diatribes.

Depending one how serious you are you could get a watsapp business account that responds with an auto reply/ away message which can include a brief description of your rates/ services(many ladies use this feature)...sparing you the need to reply in many cases.

Try avoid too much chit-chat as some of our brothers get TURNED ON by an endless game of "to-fro-retard-question" spam (Like a sick cat and mouse game)..and yes be prepared for the barrage of dick pics(cringe)

As for confrontation and awkwardness..especially noting how intellectually challenged my fellow bretheren( read: neandrathals ) can be...you can bet at some point the angry Mrs, will find out about her cheating beau's "wandering eyes"...for that you will have to ask the other ladies on the forum how to deal with that..i'm sure they have some good counter-measures(stories-hehe)

Finally most of us are harmless souls..be nice over the fone to us...It calms our initial anxiety when making that first phone call.

If the punter initiated comms via text then I think it's fair to assume you can text back. Especially if the punter proceeded to send a follow up message later on, waiting in agony for your response ;) ;) ;)

Calling is the most intrusive and I'd discourage that.

Thank you so much for your advice, it really helps a lot. I have to say I have found most clients so far to be very pleasant. It's kind of reassuring to know that you guys also feel nervous :)

Hello there :) I am terribly phonephobic so I'm very happy to text. I'm still scared though that if I text back after a 2 hour booking or after office hours the client may be with his family and have to explain a weird text :/

if i get missd call, i just call back ring once and cut off just to let them know i have had their call but missed it. They could be in meeting or elsewhere so a missed to them just lets them know you missed them and dutiful returning their call/message. no harm done. They will often get back to you.

Wait for the punter to phone again.

Punter will return the call if interested!
