...the cycling thing about Cape Town

So flying to Cape Town means I shall be without transport.
Not a trainsmash at all.
I hire myself a bicycle, has to have a basket between the handle bars, a necessity for those snacks bought along the way or light shopping done.
One has to be as arty farty as possible and as they say...when in Rome do as the Roman's do.
It does know to attract attention from the true Capetonian.
"I looove your bicycle! And that baskkkkeeeettt! Soooooo cute!"
And thus, my bicycle without its basket otherwise, would simply be another bike.
And THAT is what makes Cape Town what it is.
The love of of scarfs and hats and man bags and trinkets and dresses hippie and.....markets most European.
And soooooo much more!
And the Gents?
Well. Just like all that defines Cape Town. A dream of local and visitors and Arty and farty...GRIN... and friendly and extremely respectful and generous....and most amorous and sexsensually needy and giving.
I wonder if being so close to the "southern tip" of the Cape Peninsula has anything to do with it.
Love it.
