Any recommendations on where one can get STD testing for free or at reasonable rates. Preferably in the Pretoria or Johannesburg.

@neels...just pop into any of the lancet labs, last time I did my blood works the Gen 2 HIV was around R230 or so, more reliable as well.

Meant 4th Gen test not Gen 2..

Marie stopes or any clinic. Do a full std panel and not just hiv.

You can order STD kits online from famka without having to pop in at your local pathologist. It is way cheaper too.

Thank you for the responses. An update for others who may be interested in testing.

Marie stopes is only for females - a real shame for us gents as they seem really professional, have a national footprint and also seem to be well priced. Wish we had something similar.

Lancet offer a range of testing. They work out a price for you in request. I must admit they were a tad expensive.

Famka is a good alternative for home testing. They have good combos test kids and are very reasonably priced.

I am still in search of a reasonably priced clinic. Will let you know if I am successful. Please do us us know if anyone has any other suggestions.

Any recent updates on above on availablity and reasonable pricing testing options for all the major STD ( HIV Test Type 1 & 2, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea
Syphilis, Herpes) done once as a complete packages using home standard kits if available at Dischem/Clicks or only Famka and if done at which public/private/ male clinics specifically for male punters with approx pricing.

Wow.. I'm surprised that Marie stopes would only cater to women for testing.
