Is anyone else noticing a decline in basic phone etiquette from advertisers?

I've picked up a pattern lately when contacting advertisers, where I'll start the conversation with something simple like "Hi, how are you?" and the response is just a blunt, direct answer to my query with no greeting or acknowledgement at all.

I understand people are busy, but to me, basic politeness sets the tone for good service.

It makes me wonder whether their overall service quality can (or should) be judged by their telephone manner. Some of the advertisers have good ratings too.

Am I being overly particular, or have others experienced the same thing? Do you think phone etiquette still matters when deciding who to do business with?

Judging from the lack of responses, it is just me LOL. Luckily I still get to decide where to spend my money.

I think there's always been a proportion of SPs with terrible phone manners. You might have just hit a streak of contacting these ones. Or unless you're saying this proportion has increased which would be hard to prove. But I agree, if the comms is terrible rather move on to be safe.

A first time clients initial interaction and communication with me dictates my response communication with him. It's that simple for me xxx

You may miss some great meets. Some of my best punts started on shaky initial engagements.

You can only really know the person once you meet them in person.

I cant say, from my experience, that there is a direct relationship between initial phone engagements and actual service.

But, for SPs, most men are lazy and entitled, so a good phone response will probably get you to the top of the enquiries list. And if its horny, it will most likely just go with who is eager and available.

You're not wrong---etiquette absolutely still matters. It's often the first impression someone gets, and that can shape how they view the entire service.

At the same time, it does go both ways.

A lot of advertisers clearly state their preferred communication method for a reason.

If an ad says WhatsApp is best, but someone keeps calling repeatedly, that already starts things off on the wrong foot. Respecting those boundaries is part of basic courtesy too.

At the end of the day, I always do my best to be friendly and polite---but mutual respect makes a big difference in the overall experience.
That said no one is perfect, we also have bad days.

Hope you have better future experience.

The majority of ladies I've contacted are always polite over the phone. But every now and then I contact someone with poor etiquette and I end the conversation very quickly and proceed to the next lady.

Agreed that some advertisers phone ettiquete isnt the greatest.

But as JJ says, some great visits come out of shaky initial contact.

Interestingly, one advertiser who i have supported often (and will continue to) with physical meets and content, sometimes reads my messages and prob "forgets" to respond , every now and again :-).

She's probably considered rude by others that she doesn't get back to, but im understanding of it, as im aware of her situations and i know, if shes available, will respond immediately.
New potential clients might think otherwise.
