Pretty hard to prove, unless caught in the act of exchanging money (for sex). Anything else might be consenting adults, which might get u into trouble with your partner but not the law.
Moreover, it is not really enforced, simply to much more serious crime to worry about.

The trick is to stand ur ground when confronted by "cops", which is mainly done to extort money and install fear in punters. Otherwise as stated it's very difficult for the cops to prove anything.

Got arrested in late 90s but had to let me go because they couldn't prove financial transaction. The girl disappeared and my only crime was being caught in a dodgy house of pleasure. I think they were rather looking for an easy bribe.
