Hi everyone,


I had a meeting with Eddie this morning and we are planning on doing monthly socials from next year at the ESA offices. These will be smaller intimate parties with around 20 guests at a time. It will be a meet and greet for ladies and clients to get to know one another, with a Cheese and Wine theme.

Just wanted to get some feed back on what days and times would suit clients.

I will also do a few of the bigger socials at Pharoahs but those will be for Valentines day, Easter, a Winter party, Spring Party and Christmas.

Any other suggestions or ideas, please feel free to contribute.

A pajama party????

i dont do socials so my input probably isnt worth much. My guess is you would have much more interest and success at the bigger socials.

The reason i say this is when ever you have a big social a big thing is made about it for a while before the actual event. People start finding outfits and partners to attend this event. A great buzz is felt throughout the community in anticipation of this great event.

Now do this monthly and all of that is lost. There is no hype because there will be another one next month. I dont have to turn up with an a list girl because its a small event.

Just my 2 cents... if its even worth that much

Agreed, much like the monthly Harem parties it becomes less of an event and there's the view that, it's ok I'll catch the next one, which is just around the corner.

If the parties are really that small (20 odd people) then it will not be that easy to get in and in turn will attract a more formal crowd. I for one would love to attend a cheese and wine social at ESA. I like the ideas Arz put forward for the bigger socials. I think the timing / themes are spot on. Dates and times are not really a problem for me as long as it is not during the morning.

Arz, I support the idea of monthly socials. I will definitely be attending. However, they will have to start in the early afternoon like the recent one at Pharoahs.

A suggestion - have a social every second month perhaps. I think it may attract a bigger crowd as there will be a bigger build-up to it.

But either way, more socials would be a great idea.

Really good idea! If I could made a suggestion why don't you let each punter paid for a wg or mg. then you don't have that 50 punters arrived and only 10 ladies.

I like the idea a lot. I am sorry I missed the last social. I went to last year's ESA-organised one and it was a blast.

Unlike skyblue above however, I absolutely *HATE* afternoon socials. I think 6PM is a good time to start. People and moods are just simply different at night and I find that daytime events have a very different "feel" to them that I don't particularly care for. That's for Sunday afternoon braai's with the family :)

Also a lot easier for people to fit into a schedule coz its after work (well except for me since my work day only starts at 6PM but I can work around that.)
