My car broke down in PE in July2015. It's still here. Im needing help to tow it (on a trailer or A-frame) to Linden, Jhb. I have R3000 to pay for this. And I will throw in a booking too. Anybody able to help me? Kisses, Mynx

Sorry to hear mynx. All I can offer is to give u some reputable companies that can give u a quotation to bring it on a rollback truck. Or have some other suggestions. Good luck.

@kameshang...thank you. I did get quotes from such places...coming in at R6k, which is just really out of reach for me. If I cant get it to Jhb I will be forced to sell it, and I cant replace the vehicle for the selling price. #sadfacts

Mynx - If all else fails, you could look into putting it on the train ( Shosholoza Meyl ) and bring it back to Jhb, as they travel from PE to Jhb.

I have never done something like that before, however at a quick glance at their website, www.shosholozameyl.co.za/car-transportation.html , they mention it will cost about R2000.

You will just need to arrange putting it on and getting it off the train at each station.

Worth looking at if there is no other option.

Mabey other punters have experience in doing this ? Guys, help this lovely lady !!

@lookingforfun...i did approach the railways...they have one inconvenient requirement: the car has to drive, which mine does not.

If push comes to shove, you could always hire 2 guys - one to push the car up the ramp onto the trailer, and the second one to sit behind the wheel and make car/engine sounds ;-)
