Somebody just got quite cheesed off with me. He asked if I was available in the next hour or 2. I asked him if he could be more specific. Then he went off at me
So in the next hour or 2..... can I take a booking from someone else right now? Can I take a booking in an hour? What time can I tell someone I'll be available for a booking? Or am I expected to keep the next 2hrs clear just in case?
Now pls don't go off about ladies not honoring appointments. This is about me, not them and I DO honor appointments.
If cannot get a definite time I cannot accept the booking.

I think you were meant to wait patiently by the phone...for his confirmation.

I don't think he realised that you would be billing him for the time spent waiting.

So if he comes in 2hrs plus his hour booking = 3 hrs of my time and that's what he should pay.

I give up on guys who have still not grasped the concept of being specific about time when booking appointments.

WTF check the time, check your diary, calculate distance to booking and you will know what time you need to book. BE SPECIFIC!

Do not say I want a booking now, just now, later today, this afternoon. When a guy uses these terms I am just not interested in continuing the conversation. His wasting both our time. I like guys who have common sense and are intelligent. One of the criteria I use to decide on whether or not I will grant a booking.

Yip. How about 'are you free now?'. I expect him in half an hour at least. And 2 hrs later he wants to get upset when I don't answer because I'm booked.
So now I ask for ETA.
This always crosses my mind when I see reviews where guys claim to have been stood up.

100% Nadia...you charge by the hour...which means sitting and waiting for confirmation is loss of income. He should compensate you accordingly.

Don't you think?

I don't know what my callers don't understand when I politely send a sms during office hours when I can't answer the phone (because I sit in an office myself) and state: "Hi, Pls note my times avail which is from 4:30pm Mon to Thurs and 1:30pm Fri or alternatively sms/email me for more info"
Only to receive the same missed call from the same no??? Am I not being specific enough??
