It would help to offer protection to everyone service provider and clients and also remove stigma and goverment can get their tax money.But I doubt it will ever happen in our lives time.Government is giving lip service to the calls, the same way they are claiming to be serious about dealing with crimes etc..

NEVER... It will not be governable, there will be more crime.
I mean, there are parastatals and other institutions which are not criminalised, but are they governable?

Decriminalising is one thing.
Legalizing is another...and...
Governance is a third.

I read a study showing that when males who do not have to compete with other males for sexual access, they become less violent;
(The Competition-Violence Hypothesis: Sex, Marriage, and Male Aggression*
Patrick M. Seffrin, Associate Professor).
Note that the study was carried out on males in committed relationships.
It could be that by decriminalizing prostitution and removing the potential legal consequences, more guys would consider it as part of their sexual options.
With more guys having access to non-competitive regular sex, the South African male population in general will get mellowed out and we could see reduced male violent behavior (crime etc).
Please note again that these are my speculation (guesses) so feel free to throw rocks at my argument.
