We can not help everybody, so instinct for many is not to start. But true to the single starfish principle we need to at least try. Credit for the idea and the one that will do the driving tomorrow is a friend to many of us, but since she has left the scene, i am the forum voice.
If you do not have food for 21 days, please indicate the extent of your problem and your area to us. Depending on the size of the demand we may need to come back and ask fellow crazy people willing to give money away for nothing to help us.
This is not a caviar and mutton chop offer. We are talking basics like spagetti, pap, milk, coffee sugar etc. The idea is not to sustain anybody's lifestyle, but to prevent one of us from dire deprivation .
Aditionally, there is also an option for a lady to stay in a small room with the lady mentioned above. She may even teach you a few tricks as she made quite a mark in her time here :)
We do not have time to waste as all of us only have tomorrow and a bit of Thursday .
Depending on area we can come drop off or meet at a central point.

But I have bought a bunch of veggie seeds, and my children and I have started digging a veggie garden on my outside wall a week ago. I am going to spend the time off with them bonding and planting over the next few days. I know it might not help my neighbours immediately. But there will be veggies to help them in a couple of weeks time.
It's a very small gesture, but I hope others will consider doing it to.
