He's just finished.

He mentioned a couple things.

Though we'll have to wait for the proper break downs.

From all the options there may be one or two available to the ladies or gentlemen in need.

And all I got out of this Pep talk was that South Africa as a country will be ankle deep, that is ankle deep if S.A. stands on its head;( in dept from loans that will be sourced from the world bank ect.
Funding funding funding all on debt.. this does not sound very clever.

This would be the equivalent of a punter borrowing money from a buddy to support the ladies now while having no idea or plan on how he will pay his buddy back. It is a recipe for disaster.

We are already in quiet a bit of debt.

So yes scary that it will be increased.

But if it helps the economy start then worth it. If we don't get the economy started then we won't be able to pay the current debt.

One interesting thing is that it sounded like a large part of the population will be given money (if they have no job). Which is almost like testing the universal income concept.

Which may help create more jobs than other options,

But who knows. I'm being hopeful as without that there is no way to succeed.

Interesting that he mention hunger is already a bigger problem than COVID19 now and they as government are unable to meet that demand alone. Wonder he he expected differently.

Anyway, glad for the relief. Something better than nothing and at least planning and trying is better than just leaving things to fall in more shit.

Though it does sound like they are ramping up providing food for people.

Unfortunately think the main problem is in implementation more than money or wanting to help.

Waiting in anticipation for what our President has to say on Thursday.

He didn't say which Thursday.

If they are going to extend will have to be this Thursday.

If they try and do it next week think they will just be ignored.
