Have any of you received calls for a warrent out for your arrest and that you need to pay them like R15k so they can make it disappear because it sounds like a scam

It is a scam. Tell them to fuck off or start laughing at them. I'm sure they will love that.

Hannibol I hope you picked up the heavy sarcasm in this reply.

The reality is that these scammers are criminals in jail already, and they are in cahoots with people in cellphone companies so they know your name and details and make it sound authentic. Pay them once and they will "escalate" the situation, asking you for more and more money until you are sucked dry.

The first time this happened to me I just to drove to Sandton SAPS and they enlightened me. Best is to block them or just irritate the hell out of them until they stop calling. They are all fake, ranging from the fake cop names to fake advocates to fake Hawks.

What is NOT fake is they work with certain girls on sites like this who get kickbacks for every paying lead.

Plenty advice on this site. Number 1 is to get a punting phone with an unregistered SIM. You can get these from Pakistani phone shops. This way they will never who you are.

The best response I have ever seen was by Black Panther (add active at time of post)

The scammer asked her for numbers not of her regulars but problematic guys. She said sure and she's send him his own number saying this guy please he's ruining business for all of us lol he didn't even respond idiot.
