Hey everyone, I don't usually do a close shave, just a trim. But sometimes I do clean. Ingrown hair is a problem... so 2 questions.

1. How do you prevent them?
2. If you get them, how do you treat them?

Shave with the grain and then against the grain this is how I shave and never had ingrown hairs ever

Exfoliating gloves.

Can get them at clicks, dischem, checkers, pick n pay, spar.

Gets rid of dead skin and makes it easier for the hair to grow through the skin.

Ingrown hair is a very normal and natural occurrence with men. It happens due to the skin covering the hair faster than the hair growing and then struggle to penetrate through.
There is no real way to prevent it but a better routine will help. Exfoliating ,keeping the area clean and moisturizing the skin does help.
I do my whole body as I like to feel smooth for my clients so I feel your pain.

Great advice all around! Thank you everyone, I'm definitely going to try it out... already tried the exfoliating and that help the urgent need at least
