A treatment room should never smell of cigarette or cannabis smoke, regardless of whether the therapist or the previous client smokes. A clean, fresh environment is part of professional practice and helps ensure every client feels comfortable. If someone wishes to smoke, it should be done outside and with enough time afterwards to brush their teeth, wash their hands if needed, and air out before seeing the next client. Every client deserves to walk into a treatment room that is clean, fresh, and welcoming.
