I would like to hear the options from other "like minded" people,

I am a male, well the last time I checked, and in my mid 40's. I have recently been thinking to study towards my LLB Bacholar in Commerce - Law. This will be a few years and very time consuming considering I still have to maintain my household and family and maintain my work standards at my current employer. Would you or wouldn't you???

GO FOR IT!!

One is NEVER too old to add on extra qualifications.

BUT. Diligence and grasping and understanding the challenges in your way, can you work around them , make them a part of your new routine, the flexibility and, will to do so....should be carefully considered.

Plus adding on something of quality that carries value in YOUR life makes it that much "easier" to succeed at.

Best of luck!

RB.

Are u disciplined enough to study 15 hrs per week. After work and chores and committments. Do a trial run to see if u can keep it up. Llb is not difficult just volumes of work to get through. And year 1 and 2 is super easy. Onwards it gets very demanding. But then what to do with the Llb. Gona take u ages to make money with it.

Time goes by at the same pace whether you're studying or not.

Do it!

Never too old to study, but think carefully about what to pursue. Is it to enhance your current expertise and experience and set you up for upward growth or are you looking at an entirely new field to pursue? The latter is undoubtedly more challenging as you are essentially starting from scratch and therefore need to do your homework on how does the entry level look in that career and the trajectory for growth. Is your aim to pursue a legal career?

You're never too old, darling xxx especially not if it is something you've been wanting to do. I completed my honours degree last year. It won't easy and you will have to make adjustments, but I say go for it xxx

So much to consider... Financial responsibilities, family time, leasure time, support system... I get it cus I started studying again last year and it is challenging. What makes it easier for me is the fact that I get to dictate what times I work (to a large degree) and that I'm studying through UNISA. Many considerations for you and life is pressing currently, but when looking at the pinnacle of Maslow's Hiearchy, if this would bring you Self Actualization, then I would deem it a worthy pursuit in relation to the sacrifice.

Only if it is a subject you love, not something purely for hopes of financial gain.
