I think I know way there is a lack of travel here and do think the pay part must also have something to do with it but with the right and totally discreet secure venue there should be business.

Yep.
To travel is quite a cost and to travel "in the hope of" , doesn't pay.
Thus many ladies will think twice before travelling to any destination and usually pick destinations where the possibility of earning a keep is hopeful.
The economy is not helping much either.
