Very few people use it "regularly" so you will sit with an app on which no one really communicates. In addition, it chows a lot more data than WhatsApp hence it is unpopular as it is costly to run if not on unlimited WiFi.
For me it's simple.
No end to end encryption
Far more Metadata collection (contacts, when you speak to who, IP address and device info)
Basically zero content moderation- meaning it is being used in a huge way to commit human trafficking, share child abuse or exploitation material, extremist and terrorist recruiting.
Nevermind the cybercrime and hacking.
It is easy to find really disgusting groups on there where you can literally bid on and buy children etc
