Mnr Botha is an amateur compared to the newly formed Hawks cartel.

They will send you a WhatsApp asking for "urgent contact" to discuss a case against you.

That is why both sides need to use burner phones.

It stings when someone accuses you of being some awful person --- but people forget how many sketchy situations they've walked into and walked away from before, without a second thought.

A burner phone is your best move --- the same way people use a separate number just for work.

Easy peasy. No one can scam you off that number, because it's off when you're not using it.

Out of curiosity, can anyone explain what are the charges? how much they want for the case to disappear? etc.

So they accuse you of paying with fake notes (if you paid cash) or rape (if you paid via transfer)
They will then call you with some radio noise in the background asking if you know about the allegations and the lady was already arrested so now you need to pay up to R10 000 to get rid of this case
