Thats what makes him a murderer.
He is no longer Oscar the star athlete, he is now Oscar the murderer.
Taking somebody's life is not just a "something" to browse over and forget.
Apart from that, he still has not told the truth about it. He is still playing the victim card. Can he show remorse, if he cannot admit what he has done.
He was already very broken before the shooting tragedy.
No fame, no fortune, no medals can ever take away from the reality that he had no legs.
Living with stumps.
The achievements though boosting his morale in a way masking the truth of his reality.

A demi-god type persona setting in....it was owed to him, this recognition.
Along comes a beautiful creature that takes interest in him.
He goes into possessive overdrive. Every insecure bone in his body threatened with the reality of who he was and who she was.

Loss. A love rival?
There was a time not too long ago when the young lasses in SA flaunted their wares and their target were those young sport up and coming men.
The lifestyle...something like a WAG. Love? It was called mixing in the targeted circles of possible money and title.
And then one met the nightmare that would take her life away.
