The economic reality is that people are feeling the pinch. In 2 years the increase in interest rates by SARB raised the interest portion of a 2 million house by R8k per month.

Everyone is feeling it....but new advertisers appear, old ones reappear. These are all small businesses trying for a share of the market. Some thrive, some survive and some have to struggle to keep their adverts up.

Knowing one's worth and market will help staying afloat or even thriving.

A last note, having repeat customers in any business beats finding new ones that become repeat customers. If you piss off a regular you have to replace him with another 2. One to replace the lost one and one to grow your business.

The struggle is real and may become more real....but this business can be one that sustains those that know what they do....and what makes their customers tick.

ADD TO THAT, property rates went up after the property evaluations, which was a thumb suck to squeeze more money out of us before elections, a house valued at R800k in a shitty area is now R1.2Mil with rates around R800 to R1.5k now...FFS!

Knightrider78, you are a legend. If we can get more legit brothers like you actually non of these ladies would even think about hiking prices

Lol, telling it like it is ;-)

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that SPs should not increase their rates, but, increasing rates by R500 to R1k, then removing "draw card" services and making them as EXTRAS, haaibo!

Ladies this is easy like it's so easy. Just don't go over 1500 an hour. Having said that, for the hour rate, offer atleast 2 rounds of sex. You don't have to offer a massage but 2 rounds of sex, a bare blow and muffing, we gents will be happy.

Adapt to change. You cannot have the work or survival mentality of the 1950 in 2023.
Those times having mansion houses and cars was a flex. Its not really not flex these days, its a liability and a headache. In 2023 financial freedom is a flex.

Last year Elon musk stated on an interview he doesn't even own a house. Before the excuses
come in...he was born in SA too. Just saying.

Good afternoon

I agree with your statement,we can't have this mentality.Us ladies in the industry do understand that the living costs are going up,and we do feel it to in our day to day for example we have travel costs, product cost,we like to keep our products to the best quality and our service. We put effort in making ourselves looking presentable. I'm not saying we should charge an arm and a leg,but be reasonable with what you offer your therapist.Speaking for myself I do put a lot of effort into each booking, and want my client to be happy and able to recommend my services to others.Clients should consider quality over quantity.

You can say that again. I'm busy with a court case with city council for a block of flats that I own because they doubled the valuation. A thumb suck, like you said. Makes one wonder where they get all the money to be in court with various property owners because of the recent spike of unlawful disconnection of services these past few months.
