How often we live in the past , rehashing what could have been... at times remorse for ones own actions . At times heartbreak for not being cherished.

That, "what if" playing away and gnawing away at one....never to imagine that , what if that "what if" you imagined could have been worse and not better...?

What one must never forget ...every ending no matter how painful, is the beginning of something new...that blessing, that hope, "what if" presented at another time, a better time and worthy of all your attention and energy.

Quoted :

" The heaviest chains?

The heaviest chains are the ones you can't see - doubt, regret and promises never kept."

To not remain shackled to what has been and to be ones best ally in making hard choices required enlightening, growing and accepting.

A simple.one to start the week.

Although it shall take a lot of energy from you to understand it and embrace it.

Quoted -

" Forgive yourself.

Forgive yourself for staying too long when you should've left."

HONESTY.

"....it's not about the grand gestures or the flawless moments..." - quoted.

How many make that mistake .

The human part ...the imperfection, the inevitable mistakes, idiosyncrasies that make one unique yet, may drive another up the wall and others?...endure you to them.

The ability to be true to oneself before being able to be true to another. Know yourself before expecting another to know you.

They say charity begins at home...and the first base is...the self.

On Sunday to share in joy of achievement not only with participants but, with the families and supporters looking in....and then to embrace and chat with some who finished the Cape Argus and absorb that energy , the moment of blissful achievement that made each person feel exhilarated as it made their family and friends too.

The support.
The coaxing, positive reinforcement, even in moments of possible failure.
Patience.
Understanding...the consistent assurance and belief, no matter what...is what makes the realness of any relationship more valuable than grandstanding with words and gifts when remembered.

It is the "small" things that speak volumes and money knows not to replace.

It is the non fear of embracing the humanness of what makes us tick without seeing it as a weakness or worrying what anybody else may think.

An outlook different

Enjoy.

Quoted:-

Anger...
Is energy with a purpose, it builds when something challenges your values, disrespects your boundaries, or disrupts your dens of justice.

Instead of letting it take over, turn it into change.

***

Guilt...
Is a sign that your actions dont align with your actions.

Let it guide you, not punish you.

***

Frustration...
Is the feeling of being stuck between effort and outcome. It is a sign that something isn't working.

Either shift your approach or your expectations.

***

Boredom...
Is unused creative energy and not because there is nothing to do.

Your brain is looking for something meaningful.

***

Jealousy...
Isn't about wanting what someone else has, it's about feeling like you can't have it.

Instead of comparing, ask yourself what's actually stopping you.

***

Overthinking...
Is your brain searching for control in uncertainty.

Trust that you can handle what comes instead of exhausting yourself trying to control it.

***

Grief...
Is love with nowhere to go.

Let yourself feel it, trying to push it away only makes it heavier.

***

Fear...
Is a sign that your mind is trying to protect you, but not everything unfamiliar is dangerous.

Learn to tell the difference between a real threat and discomfort that leads to growth.

***

Sadness...
Is your mind slowing down to catch up with what's happened.

Letting yourself feel it isn't weakness, its processing.

***

Loneliness...
Is a craving for connection, a nudge.

Embrace the nudge to reconnect with those who make you feel seen and understood.

***

Disappointment...
Is a sign that something did not meet your expectation.

Adjust, dont shut down.

....when shown a different perspective, life becomes that much more manageable.

Tomorrow , Friday 21st being Human Rights Day.

Let's start with YOU...they say charity begins at home and a few truths to think about...

What if...

" You're doubting yourself, while others are terrified of your potential?" (Quoted)

Never to forget...

" You can start late, start over, lose it all, fail again and again, yet still succeed"

Why go through the doubt and pain...

" Deep down you know exactly where you stand with someone. Hope blurs the lines a bit but, you know."

Tomorrow is Human Rights Day.

Tomorrow while acknowledging the rights of others, to remember to embrace your rights too.

BALANCE.

Having the courage to look in the mirror and SEE oneself...unfiltered, see ones own faults, embrace them and be that much more stronger and wiser for doing so.

And thus

"...Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened."

- Winston S. Churchill

I like this.

The truth is never comfortable.

Lying to others is may be easy but, living with ones own lie is a different story.

It shall break you down. Make you weak. Feel targeted and always on the hunt for that "what if".

To love oneself is a big thing.

To love oneself goes deeper than the philosophising of life "gurus".

It is intimate.
It is extremely personal and nobody else's businesses.

When does it become another person's business?

Well...in how we interact with our close ones and society on the whole.

Breath.

EMBRACING.

Just a few things that I remind myself of.

All read. All quoted and I think worthy of a share.

* Protect who is behind you and respect who is beside you.

* Never shake a hand while sitting down

* Never make the first offer in a negotiation

* Never eat the last piece of something you didn't buy

* Always aim for the head

* Be honest. Say what you mean and mean what you say

VALUE.

Once again to share a few more truths that hold water.

Quoted:-

* Your reputation is your most valuable asset. Protect it with your actions

* A man's true character is revealed in how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

* Don't chase money. Chase mastery and money will follow

* At the end of the day, your reflection is the only judge that truly matters.

WHOLENESS.
