This is the first scenario I thought of. Punching someone in the mouth, their teeth could tear open the assailant's hand. Continuous punches to the bloody mouth leads to exchange of blood.

Exactly exchange doesn't have to be sexual. Even the smallest wound could be hazardous. If there is something I learnt just by reading the forum is a lot of people have no clue when it comes to STDs and STIs and most are only worried about contracting aids when infact there are so many more STDs and STIs to consider.

You do realise that when being beaten up that badly the guy doing the punching probably cut his fists also? I've seen many friends of mine who have been j. Fights one out with knuckles that are bleeding like crazy. You can contract AIDS like that.

There is one anecdotal account in all medical literature of transmission during a fist fight and no actual proof whatsoever.
In that anecdotal account, the assailant (and not the victim) became infected. But insufficient evidence to confirm the transmission route.
So I would argue theoretical but practically impossible
