In the scene, Romeo is mocked for not having enough love experience and having short lived relationships. Scars, throughout the ages means that you have experienced life. I don't trust a person that has no scars.

This is my 2 cents when i see scars on a girl i always think what could be the story behind them and no body has the same scars so they make us all unique, so any person that does not like your scars and have no respect for you to judge you on your scars are just shallow and you should not let them bring you down you are amazing

As a former semi-pro crash test dummy (otherwise known as a South African teenager with a motorbike, a love of action sports and a decent supply of beer...) I love asking about the various scars.
There are almost always interesting stories behind them. Some are harsh, some are simply funny but most are very interesting and can tell me a lot about that person.
