Lol. While you 2 are reminiscing, I just want to check - You do realise you were the bad guys, right? You were serving in the military forces of, and unquestioningly protecting, a regime that is by definition a crime against humanity. "Protecting" is not a good thing, when what you are protecting is evil

So if we have to choose between a generation that is brainwashed, militarized, armed, and sent out to kill and die to defend an oppressive and odious regime and a generation that basically says "let people decide for themselves who and what they are", I'd rather have the mango trees over the unquestioning brainwashed stormtroopers.

This needs a special clap, as does your other thoughtful response that seems to have been dismissed as thread-derailing.

I, like everyone else here probably (including the OP), have not read the actual document being referenced.

OP, could you please be so kind as to provide citations for each point in your post.

This is what I found:
www.gov.za/sites/default/files/gcis_document/202203/46048gon1882.pdf

Maybe you're referencing something else? Some citations would be highly appreciated, as you seem to have actually read the document?

That aside, let's assume everything in OP's post is accurate, I would like to know what the alternative is meant to be from our resident ministers of health and safety.

Should there be no punitive action towards those who refuse to self-isolate according to what appears to be reasonable demands that have been proposed?

Not going to let you entice me into a stupid forum argument that's why. Way better things to do.

You can argue with the members of the peanut gallery always looking for the next band wagon to jump on to alleviate the boredom and emptiness of your lives.

Have a nice day. Toodles xxx

The disaster management act was always meant to be a temporary thing to stop the spread of Covid

Now to write it into law is pure dictatorship

Someone found a Chinese user manual

Never too late to take a stand. The closing date for comments/objections has been extended to 24 April. You can send an email to the Director and or the Minister of Health voicing your objection, And if you feel that they'll just ignore it or delete it (as they have been caught out doing with 1000's of these emails), you can do it through Dear SA, SAMA or others.
