Yankee you just gave away your staggering intellect mathematics-wise, frightingly so even however I was hoping Arhwen would be the one to answer my rather simple question.... as only geniuses may ask other geniuses questions you see ;-)

Wickedness correct, minus that ? - and I mention that because really weird/unconventional annotations are used in this thread. Mine's correct though - but pls don't you answer, give Arhwen a chance to shine here ;-)

Yankee, since you're the topofthepops, for x=-2 , what do you get?

[Edited now I see your response: your (previous) answer is wrong!]

This should be the formula @Arhwen...
8×8-8=56
7×7-7=42
6×6-6=30
5×5-5=20
3×3-3=6

8=56 *7
7=42 *6
6=30 *5
5=20 *4
3=9 *3
2=1 *2

"help me out here ?"

I will.

"8=56 *7
7=42 *6
6=30 *5
5=20 *4
3=9 *3
2=1 *2 "

Where did you get the 2 from?
I asked for the answer when x=1 , so by your (and Arhwen's!) logic then the lot should look like this:

8=56 *7
7=42 *6
6=30 *5
5=20 *4
3=9 *3
1=2 *2

not so?
Indeed not, U2're wrong ;-)

By your favour, ma'am:
Methinks there is more than one correct sequence.

Tizz and mine.
There may be other sequences.
