I think at the end of the day, its about wooing the girl to get sex. Sex becomes the reward.

Under normal circurmstances, a guy would take a girl on a few dates and buy her gifts ect. untill he gets the sex. After a while the sex will happen without the wooing and gifts. It stops being a reward.

Now in this industry, the guy hands over cash for sex, but still practices his wooing by buying gifts or giving a tip after the deed. Maybe even just being a gentleman can be a token of appreciation. In his mind hoping for special treatment as a reward. Once the service reaches a point where more wooing doesnt make a diference, the punter will find a new girl to repeat the whole process.

@Ruby: I suspect there has been a lot of research over 100's of years on exactly your question. I think it depends on the guy you're with. What makes him "tick". Some guys are happy getting the same old routine, 5 min missionary, every week or 2. As long as they get a release, their world is great. Let's call this level 1.

Some guys start out being happy with with the latter, but gradually needs more excitement. More bells to be rung and whistles to be blown.. (levelling up) The best a couple can do, is to communicate each other's desires. Ie communication without judgement.

It's the same for the ladies, in my opinion. The problem is that some people regress, going from level 5 bell & whistle, to level 1 or 2, when their partner is still on level 4 or 5...
