Doctors said there's no hope. 7 months later in hospital never getting up or out that entire time andillioms of Rand's later, the person passed on. Now the family struggles to pay of that debt nearly a year later. Was it right for the family to endure that grieving and uncertainty for 8 months? For that person to suffer for 8 months? For that money to have been spent on a lost cause? For the children to have to drop out of university? For the family to not have food?

How is euthanasia relevant to the pandemic we are facing?
We are also not leaving it up to nature to take its course. Had that been the case, then there would be no attempt to curb the spread by inducing lockdown procedures. We would simply carry on with our daily lives and see who withers away and die around us.
In essence, whether you support lockdown or not, is not the question. You don't have to like it but you have to comply. If not for oneself, then for others who are eager to bring this period to an end and get back to earning a living among other things.
