I am big time into hair and hair care,esp ethnic natural hair. Alopecia hits women very hard. Our hair is our crowning glory. Chris Rock made a doccie about black women and hair. That's why I felt his joke was a bit low. He knows the struggle of black women and hair.
Will Smith? I dunno if this ws staged or not but there are many other ways he could have handled it. Mark Lottering posted he could have waited for Chris Rock in the parking afterwards. Like we do in Athlone. Will Smith has all sorts of resources that could have been used to get Chris Rock.

I absolutely 100% think it was staged. As Will Smith approaches, Chris Rock puts his hands behind his back. If you look closely, they both smile as Will walks away.

First Will is laughing and there is NO footage of in between or how his face would have changed before he storms up on stage or anything between his wife and him.

Plus has no one seen anyone get slapped before? Will Smith used his entire body to slap Chris Rock and at such a bizarre angle. Even his stance is not correct. Then Chris Rock moves his entire face and body.

If I am wrong, then my deepest apologies. No one should resort to violence or to taking the piss out of someone's medical condition.

However, I believe that it was staged and I think that is even worse, because you can not be so desperate for viewership that you would promote this behaviour in 2022 and still strip Jada of her own voice as well. These two men both made it all about them. Or the puppets behind the curtains made it about them for a couple more views.
