From personal experience, be very cautious about some financial advisors. You can upskill yourself sufficiently so that you are not ripped off. The book, 'How to manage your money like a fucking grown up' is RSA specific and is really great. Also, the personalfinanceZA wiki and sub on reddit are excellent.

Over the last 16 months I've been incredibly grateful to receive two phones through bartering on this site, which helped me a lot. Unfortunately both have become difficult to keep using:

The first phone had a screen protector installed by a shop, and it has caused ongoing issues where the LED stops working, which keeps costing me money to fix.

The second was a pre-owned iPhone, but the iOS version and storage limitations are preventing me from downloading the apps I need.

I've tried to fix both situations but haven't been able to solve the problems long-term.

So I'm hoping to trade my services for a newer phone that can support my work and video creation. I'm very grateful for the barters I've had before and truly appreciate this community.

This time, if I receive a phone, I'll make sure to have the screen protector installed at a reliable shop to avoid the issues I had before.
