@Ben, BEE & AA also benefits Indians as far as I can see. Maybe not in government but definitely in the private sector. Look at top positions held in the finance sector and the ICT sector. There are many indians in CEO or senior executive positions. The problem is, and I'm syaing this as it pertains to all race groups, many useless idiots out there have a sense of entitlement believing that they should be in the CEO's chair.

And you are threading on dangerous ground with your last line regarding issues in Palestine, as if they are entirely innocent.
I'll refrain from commenting since it will simply escalate into a racial and religious debate and we'll all get banned.

Gere asks, "Why the fuck do people still vote for the ANC?"
Simple, it's the party that liberated our country from the horrors of the apartheid system and regime.
And that horror was worse than anything that has been perpetrated thus far from the liberating party !
However, the ANC cannot rely on that forever, father time will erase the euphoria of liberation and the next generations will be less likely to tolerate the abuse (mismanagement) of power.

For as long as we are/have been at different receiving ends of some big milestones in SA like Apartheid and (BB)BEE or any kind of Affirmative Action, chances are our views about DA and the ANC will always differ. We just need to respect and tolerate each other's views.

The ANC played an unmatcheable role in getting rid of opression. Now they are messing up. But what other credible opposition party poses a real threat and has its policies in a row? My answer: None! For this reason the ANC can bully us and screw us yet still win fairly! Other opposition parties, instead of coming out with promising manifestos, they sit back and wait to shout about the obvious ANC screw ups without proposing tangible solutions when elected. And this makes them even bigger clowns than the ANC

@kick - are you out of your fuken mind ? "if this is what one has to pay for freedom then they can keep it.", no seriously bru, freedom came at a cost of lives, destruction of families, humiliation and human rights abuse, show some respect to those who paid that way for YOUR freedom. The ideals which our leaders, the Mandela's, Sisulus's, Hani's fought for is not being continued today. This is unfortunately the real world of politics and power. Now is the time for the masses and citizens to realize that the offerings by the current government is not adequate, service delivery protests around the country, countless reports of corruptions and mis-administration, all this will be realized by our own Arab Spring. There is unfortunately no feasible alternative to the current government. It is us, the citizens and adults of this country to ensure that we make the correct decisions now so that we may invest in the future of our children tomorrow. Let us not allow our children to carry the sins of their fathers. Aluta Continua !

Vuyi nobody disputed what the liberation movement ANC has done with great leaders such as Sisulu and Madiba. BUT, the ANC of today is a very different animal to the liberation movement it once was.

The only alternative is DA. They do have a manifesto and policy directions defined.

@Naver, I know poor black workers who are finally realising my point above, that the ANC is destroying the country. I'm doing my utmost to convince as many of them to vote for ANY other party if it means weakening the ANC.

Lovemetender you can argue until kingdom come.

No amount of campaining in this particular forum will sway the opinion of a horny punter or cash-seeking WG towards one's preferred political party. Talk radio > talk politics! ESA >punting related issues. M out of this discussion matter
