If an apple in Europe costs $600 and you buy it there and bring it to South Africa where apples sell for $50 and take it to the Parade, put your shiny apple with a board saying $600 amongst the other vendors all selling their apples for $50, guess who is going home without a sale?
Woolworths has disproved this logic.
Really? Are Woolies 1200% more expensive than other shops? No my man, I get what you are trying to say but your analogy is a bit off. Even Woolies can only stretch things so far. So if a real packet of apples are R50 at Pick 'n Pay Woolies can and will never charge R600 for it, no one would buy it. They might charge R60 and slap some organic sticker on there to justify the premium price, but be realistic.
$600 is almost R12 000. Do you really think wg's can start charging that per hour in SA based on your Woolies logic?
