But the discussion revolves around regrettably / regretfully

And not

Rightfully.

RB you are being regretfully rightful ...lol

But more seriously, why have regrets about your choices. Unless you feel they bad choices or wish they could be different. Or you don't have regrets, you just being polite because of the backlash you expecting and you trying to minimize it. Or anything else under sun. Or anything else beyond the sun.

I think the question was on the wording 'regretfully' but some will just seize the opportunity to deal with this ROAR monster and rub it in even when not necessary.

To answer the asked questions I think its like after an unsuccessful interview and they say, ' We regret to inform you ...' If you indeed regret then why are you informing me (maybe more sensible in most nguni languages than the English it's written in)

Imagine an honest rejection letter after an interview.

In our search for the best candidate, we are pleased to have found her and fortunately for us, it is not you. We have no regrets about our choice.

Mmmmmmm.....question J_J

Do you think all principles should be applied equally in different situations?

Does it make all spaces equal and thus generalized and left to interpretation.

RB.

Question RB: can we handle the bare truth, or do we survive better when sugar coating things ...

Answer RB: even the most principled of pricipals lacks consistent principles. For me, the answer would be NO.
