For me personally l find it hard to ask a client to leave a review...eish just dont have the balls too:)

Although I have been in this industry forever and a day. I have always found it a bit hard to ask for anything if it is for me personally..;)

And it is no different when it comes to asking for reviews and that's why I hardly ever would ask.

I tend to leave reviews when its been great and not if its been bad, if I have had a bad experience I will speak to the lady and rather tell her personally than post for the world to know

Can't say I've been asked to review, (wouldn't bother me if I was) but a good review can surely only help a ladies reputation, especially if its from a reliable gentleman

@Jakeburns78, I agree and you have a lovely approach.

Hello Tanya and Miss Red :) May I recommend Amanda Palmer's TED talk, titled The Art of Asking. And her book of the same title.

www.ted.com/talks/amanda_palmer_the_art_of_asking

If it seems appropriate, then I let my client know that I enjoy reviews and that he's welcome to share his experience. But most often I don't mention it at all. I've found that those who review will do so of their own accord. Or not.

If an SP builds up enough credibility do the reviews still matter?

Yes, it shows consistency.

I always review . In this industry, reviews are very helpful to me and so I feel its only reasonable to "give back" so that others can benefit as well. I also appreciate responses to my reviews - in US where I spend a lot of my time, these responses are used by WG's as one way to check that a prospective client is reasonably credible and helps protect them a little more and thats a good thing.

As far as requesting reviews goes, its not about whether the WG requests or not, its HOW they ask. There is a big difference between taking the "used car salesperson approach "pls remember to review me with all 5's " vs "if you feel you had a good time and are willing to do so, I'd really appreciate a review "

Hope that helps. I do find it interesting how few CPT punters review.

I know all about the art of asking, I am pretty good a fundraisers and stuff like that for charities, etc...;)

Love doing things like that, can get the most tightest fists to open up and give to worthy causes.;)

But asking for myself for personal benifit just never have been in my DNA..lol and doubt it will ever change. It is just how I am.

And I do agree that reviews shows consistency, even if she had built up a solid reputation over time and racked up an impressive number of reviews already.

Presuming that the total of advertisers in a area has a direct influence on the total of members in area, because word of mouth being one of the biggest tools used to get gentlemen to join as members. (CPT don't seem to have active direct advertising like shooters driving around like in Gauteng )

It stand to reason that there would be more members in areas where there is more advertisers.

And that has a direct influence on the amount of reviews per area.

CPT also have less venues so less ladies working in groups talking to each other and recommending ESA to each other, or a photographer pitching for a shoot for one lady and ends up adding two new ladies aswell. Less ladies on esa means less to do word of mouth marketing.

Also CPT might seem big, but here it is seems more likely that than in gaugteng, that someone will know someone that knows someone and therefore people seem to be a bit more discreet and private going about their business.
