JP why not take your 3K Kate has offered to pay back and Leave her alone as she requested.

It's not like you have a reputation to uphold you can still call a sp from all your numbers and you will not be link to this saga. She however does and unless ESA removes the comment you put on her profile it will alway be there even if she does refund you.

Some food for thought.

Yesterday you were supposedly all "let's hear both sides", now you're telling one side to cut it short and not respond to the version the other side has given?

Even if you felt I owed you money, are you now admitting that making the agreements for the overnighter was all a ruse from the very beginning? Because that kind of undermines your excuse that it was a "miscommunication"? You're now saying that you didn't want to see me, but you wanted to get the money you felt I owed you. That's not a miscommunication.

There's a word for that: it's "scam"

A bit more like:
"If you're friends with an SP...and really felt that the time she spent with you was compromising her own income...and really wanted to pay for this time anyway - don't make a post on her advertising platform and advert claiming you were scammed, *whilst also* explicitly stating that you don't care about the money you were supposedly scammed of *so long as* said SP will see you again."

The problem is "I don't care about the money IF..." reveals that the money is secondary, and masks the real intent behind this thread and ad comment. The only two reasonable outcomes for someone who felt genuinely scammed are "give me my money back" or "I don't care about the money (*without* terms and conditions)". "I don't care about the money IF you'll see me again" is what's bullshit.

That was before we herd both sides. Incase you haven't noticed Kate did respond.

It seems a misunderstanding to me, except for now JPs feelings are hurt because she openly admitted that she won't see him anymore and has offered to pay back the money.

But now it seems like it's not the money he is after but rather time with her.

In my personal opinion no scammer has ever offered to pay back the money they scammed from someone.

But I can be wrong.

Has anyone ever been refunded by a scammer?

I'll wait to hear if this refund ACTUALLY HAPPENS! I hear of people offering money back of make up sessions often to make it seem like they want to do the right thing but then deafening silence as they never follow through and that is part of the scam. She's already blocked him and ignored PM's from June and now says PM me your banking details, what a joke.

IMO, paying back the money with R1,000 deducted for the outbooking fee and then never seeing each other again is the only fair solution.

There's no innocent parties here.

One was a douchebag (sorry but you were in this scenario JP) and one was a scammer because she did take the money out of false pretences (scam) and never made the outbooking fee clear and agreed upfront and then avoided it for nearly a year. No one gets to play victim. Both are at fault.

LOL...... So much drama! Better than Netflix! Kate, does the 3K cover the out booking or did you make a few bucks extra?

One thing I do not understand, you have to pay for a room you did not use and then you have to pay an out booking fee too? I think these venues are killing punting and the income of the girls in these terrible times!

Ah. That's your mistake - there aren't only two reasonable options. "I care *MORE* about the friendship than the money, but won't accept losing both" is a perfectly reasonable position, which is perfectly compatable with OP saying "I'll let it go to maintain the friendship".

Esa really needs a list opposite to favourites. Like an avoid list for each member. This discussion would have me add two to the list.

Use your private notes to do that.

Good point that @Kooni. That function has saved me a few times when the little head was doing the thinking for the big head. Should add that advice to the latest newbies thread.

Now we just need the other J to chip in on the side of the prosecution and bob's your uncle.
