He is the play maker more than the finisher now and is quite happy to let others in the team SHINE.
He and ARGENTINA deserve the cup.

All the haters are just bitter because of other so called "favourites" early exits from the WC.

As a huge Messi and Argentina fan, I can also feel for CR7 and the rest of the legends we will not see at the next WC. We lived in a time of these greats and as football fans we should be greatful, not bitter!

Actually, we have it all wrong as far as the GOAT is concerned. The GOAT right now and for many years to come is Didier Deschamps. "La Deche" won it all, he was the 3rd lung of any team he played for, and he also lifted it all as coach level .... EURO and World Cup. That's the GOAT.
