How does one acquire Prep and/or PEP? I'm asking since I basically got raped by one of my favourite girls. She inserted my uncovered dick without asking. I didn't stop her, but it was a terrifying experience. She will now think it's par for the course, but I haven't seen her in over a year because she's been talking about continuing the previous experience, but I just don't want to withhout some sort of precaution.

The sick(HIV+) girls still need to work.
The sick(HIV+) punters still need sex.
Hence those who not bothered barebacking strangers in the purple world.
When you sick, you sick, nothing left to worry about, except remembering to take your ARV's for life, and budgeting for antibiotics etc for the other STI's that go with this risky lifestyle.

It doesn't work like that. HIV positive people can get reinfected with different strains and get sick again. It doesn't mean if you are infected you can just have unprotected sex. For example two HIV positive people having sex will keep reinfecting each other so they need to still use protection unless they both have been on ARV's for some time and stay on ARV's and the virus is undetectable in both.
@JHB22 Agreed, and the intelligent (guys and girls) know this.
But those who "are not bothered" or "who seek bareback sex" with sex-workers and punters do not fall into the intelligent category. imho.

Find a different GP. Go to a local clinic and wait in line. Find a sexual health specialist - Disa in Johannesburg for example and I am sure there are similar in other areas. Ask your favorite SP for a recommendation of a non-judgmental doctor.
But ultimately stop being embarrassed of your pastime and see a professional.
Personally I would advise against it and will not do it in the purple world - but you can't stop people from behaving irresponsibly - so better to have some protection. Just remember that HIV is not the only STI out there!!!!
