There are many psychological factors that can play a role in erectile dysfunction (ED). Here are some of the most common:

Performance anxiety: Anxiety about sexual performance, such as fear of not being able to get or maintain an erection, can cause stress and make it difficult to achieve or sustain an erection.

Depression: Depression can interfere with sexual desire and can make it difficult to get or maintain an erection.

Relationship problems: Relationship problems, such as communication issues, conflict, or a lack of intimacy, can cause stress and contribute to ED.

Stress: High levels of stress, either from work or personal issues, can interfere with sexual function.

Low self-esteem: Feelings of inadequacy or low self-esteem can cause anxiety and contribute to ED.

History of sexual abuse or trauma: A history of sexual abuse or trauma can have long-lasting effects on sexual function, including ED.

Substance abuse: Alcohol and drug use can interfere with sexual function, either by reducing desire or making it difficult to get or maintain an erection.

It's important to note that while psychological factors can contribute to ED, there may also be physical causes. If you are experiencing ED, it's important to talk to a healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

Seeing as you already went to the doctor and they confirmed there's nothing physically causing it, perhaps it's something to do with what I mentioned above?

Great feedback thanks

You got advice from a proffesional, and doubt it,
and want to confirm it from a sex forum.

Good thing there is help for ED, as here is no pills for stupidity.

Kooni, do you know what you call the guy that qualifies dead last from medical school...... DOCTOR

Just because he is a professional doesn't make him infallible.

The only stupidity would be blindly accepting the outcome of someone who has even admitted to not knowing the true diagnose.
And would you prefer I ask this on my church forum...... No.... That's why I asked on a sex forum

Bud, you need to get your testosterone levels checked. Testosterone starts decreasing from late 30's and seems to hit suddenly as soon as you're 40. Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a great way to get back on that horse!

TRT literally will make you feel like a 25 year old again. And will help you in all other areas too... mood, exercise, sex-drive, concentration, focus, everything...

It needs to be done by a doctor, though for best results. Try Googling a GP and/endocrinologist in the Sandton area... they can help with this.

Just remember that cancer (specifically prostate cancer) feeds on testosterone!

So check your PSA and get a DRE before you even consider TRT.

Water fast for 4 days or eat vegan food only (not the junk food kind) for two weeks and see if it makes a difference
