I know ESA tries to improve the site, but I don't just want to post promotions. I would also like to start a conversation that has nothing to do with rates etc.

We have brought this to ESA's attention a couple of weeks ago and I thought they would've changed it, but nothing.

Please can ESA explain why, the ladies and gents that are registered as advertisers, aren't allowed to start threads in the General Discussion section anymore. I am sorry, but I don't like this change and would like to be able to have a voice again on the General Discussion page.
Feedback would be appreciated.

My take you on why you not allowed to do so. I maybe completely wrong, but thank your fellow SPs, as they continued to promote themself if the general section, instead of the promotional area, and only way to stop it, was to prevent SPs from starting a topic.

Unfortunately those toeing the line, got to pay the price for those not following the rules. It sad when a few people spoil it for all.

Unfortunately due to the lack of co-operation from advertisers to not post their promotions in the general forum, we were forced to ban all advertisers from starting new threads. Ample warning was given before we implemented the ban.

Can we assume that if an advertiser then starts a non promotional thread under promotions, ESA will move it over to general discussion?

@Kooni... thank you kind sir. You were spot on. Just a pity we are all now suffering because of other inconsiderate, selfish individuals. But like mentioned before, now we just need to accept and make the best of it. Hope you won't mind me PM you should I maybe need you to start a new thread for me in future? #naughtygrin xxx

So why not just ban the offenders from the forum instead of penalizing all?
